Documentary Premiere at ISE Sacramento
California has the worst game-wardens-per-capita ratio of any state or Canadian province. That means more bad guys in the field, and a $100 million a year black market in wildlife trafficking!
See both the bad guys and good guys in action at ISE Sacramento, during the documentary premiere Saturday, January 17 at 1:30 in the Eastmans’ Adventure Theater (Building A).
For nearly two years James and Andrew Swan (Snow Goose Productions) traveled the state with video cameras, riding along with wardens in airplanes, helicopters, snowmobiles, boats and patrol vehicles to create a a 56-minute documentary, Endangered Species: California Fish and Game Wardens. Narrated by actor/author Jameson Parker (“Simon and Simon”), documentary segments include a bust of a 20,000-plant marijuana grove; takedowns for abalone, caviar and bear poaching; and a warden’s discovery of a terrorist cell.
Following the screening there will be a panel discussion with KFBK host Bob Simms, San Francisco Chronicle Outdoor Writer Tom Stienstra, CWA Director of Conservation Policy Greg Yarris, Judd Hanna from the California Fish and Game Warden Foundation, Senator Dennis Hollingsworth, DFG Law Enforcement Chief Nancy Foley and Fish and Game Warden Jerry Karnow, representing the CA Fish and Game Wardens Association.
